Noir is an anime series created by Ryôe Tsukimura, produced by Victor Entertainment and Bee Train, and directed by Kôichi Mashimo. First broadcast in 2001, the series follows two skilled assassins as they uncover the secrets of their past and the mysterious bond that connects them. Acclaimed for its unique atmosphere, stylish direction and compelling story, Noir enjoyed worldwide success and is now considered a classic of Japanese animation.

It was with this original soundtrack that composer Yuki Kajiura truly defined her signature musical style. Blending orchestral music, electronic textures, ethereal voices and sacred influences, she created a fascinating contrast between the violence of the plot and music filled with melancholy, mystery and spiritual intensity.

The soundtrack was unanimously acclaimed and became an essential part of the series’ identity, particularly through the unforgettable songs Canta per me and Salva nos, performed by Yuriko Kaida.
