A Heavenly Soundtrack for an Olympian Game!
Directed by Kirby creator Masahiro Sakurai, Kid Icarus: Uprising (3DS) is the long-awaited sequel to the GameBoy classic released in 1986.
The soundtrack was written by a dream team consisting of some of Japan's most celebrated video game music composers: Motoi Sakuraba (Star Ocean, Valkyrie Profile), Yuzo Koshiro (Actraiser, Shenmue), Masafumi Takada (Killer 7, No More Heroes), Noriyuki Iwadare (Grandia, Phoenix Wright), Takahiro Nishi (Super Smash Bros. Brawl) and Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger/Cross, Xenogears, Xenosaga). Fans will also be pleased to listen to arrangements of Hirokazu Tanaka's music for the original Kid Icarus. All music in Uprising was carefully orchestrated by Natsumi Kameoka (Inazuma Eleven), and Yasunori Mitsuda himself.
Kid Icarus: Uprising Original Soundtrack features 71 fantastic tracks in a beautiful digipak made and published by Sleigh Bells, Yasunori Mitsuda's very own label.
